Alluri Soumya from Undrajavaram in West Godavari filed a public lawsuit against the film “Sitaram Raju.” She claimed that the film portrayed her as a police officer who was against her lifestyle and hurt the feelings of thousands of her followers. Therefore, she appealed to the court to stop the film’s release and not issue a censorship certificate.

Nothing can tarnish the reputation of famous people like Alluri Sitaram Raju. Chief Justice Justices Satish Chandra Sharma and Justice Abhinand Kumar Shavali said this in dismissing the public interest petition. They also mentioned that while poison can kill Socrates, his thoughts or literature cannot.

The producers of this film followed the advice of the judges and requested that the censorship board review the movie for any copyright infringement. Furthermore, they urge to take the corresponding measures to avoid controversy in the film. The film’s director stated that the release was initially scheduled for January 7 but was later released due to increased COVID-19 cases. The director claimed that the number of cases would continue to rise and that the film would not have hit theatres if he had.

The Kannada version of the film was given less importance than the Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi versions which is why the “RRR” film is trending on social media. Some people have come out in favor of boycotting the movie in Karnataka.

The film “RRR” has received critical acclaim for its cinematography, direction, action scenes, music, and script. The film has won international awards and is among India’s top ten highest-grossing films.

Lika Productions acquired the theatrical rights for RRR in Tamil Nadu on February 17, 2021, while Pen Studios acquired the rights for North India. The film was scheduled to hit theatres on July 30, 2020.

All religions, castes, and communities have equal status in our society.

The BJP claims this will never lead to a political division between tribal communities and people from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Maharashtra. In addition, the Telangana BJP has threatened to burn down any cinema if a character in the film is portrayed as Muslim. The Telangana High Court has now ordered the filmmakers to bring the film back until Alluri Seetha Rama Raju and Komaram Bheem’s image is damaged in any way. It will be interesting to see her response to the court’s request.
